How accurate is your device clock?

Phones and computers sync with internet time servers, but settings and network issues can leave them a few seconds off. When the page loads, Minuto reads the time the web server sends with each response, several times, and compares it with your clock. If the difference is more than half a second, the corrected time is shown.

Limits

The server time only has one-second resolution, so several samples are combined to narrow the range. The margin of error is shown next to the result.

Ideas

  • Go full screen for a desk or classroom clock.
  • Keep the screen awake and stand a tablet on your desk.
  • Switch between 12 and 24 hour time. Settings are saved in this browser.
